For ten years, The Winter Care Program has been in place to help serve those most in need in the city of Lexington during the frigid winter months.
This year, Republic Bank is partnering with the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff in a city-wide coat drive from now through February 29, 2016. Republic will host four collection sites for coat donations at four Lexington banking centers:
- Chevy Chase – 641 East Euclid Avenue Lexington, KY 40502
- Harrodsburg Road – 2401 Harrodsburg Road Lexington, KY 40504
- Andover – 3098 Helmsdale Place Lexington, KY 40509
- Tates Creek – 3608 Walden Drive Lexington, KY 40517
The Winter Care Program was implemented in response to the community's need in severe weather events. The program provides warmth and service to the community's most vulnerable during the chilling winter months. Over the years, the drive has collected and distributed more than 1,000 coats to individuals and families around Fayette County.
Republic Bank is proud to partner with the local Sheriff's Office to help people stay warm this winter.
"We are proud to support this worthwhile initiative in helping Lexington citizens who are in need," says Todd Ziegler, Republic Bank’s Managing Director of Central Kentucky. "The Winter Care Program sponsored by the Sheriff's Office is inspiring and we are delighted to be partnering with them."
All coats are cleaned free of charge by Chase Dry Cleaners, 325 S. Ashland Ave., before distribution. If you are unable to bring your coat donation to a Republic Bank location, contact the sheriff's office to schedule a pickup time. If you know of someone in need of a winter coat, call the sheriff's office at (859) 252-1771.
